<p>This study delves into the crucial realm of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners' perception regarding the effectiveness of Text-based instructions on their academic writing. Acknowledging the paramount importance of writing skills in language acquisition, the research aims to unravel the impact of specific text-based instructions on learners' success in academic settings. Drawing on a quasi-experimental design, 38 undergraduate TEFL students participated, with 20 in the experimental group and 18 in the control group. The results, analyzed through pretests, posttests, and semi-structured interviews, substantiate a significant improvement in the experimental group, affirming the efficacy of embedded text-based instructions. Learners' perceptions, obtained through interviews, provide valuable insights for tailoring effective text-based instruction in EFL education.</p>
